I’ve been researching for months to officially be ready for the one thing most new parents dread the most POTTY TRAINING! I pinned all the helpful potty tips and methods I could find on Pinterest. I let her lead the way and she’d go potty every so often but we weren’t consistent at all in the process. My ultimate goal is to have her potty trained by her second birthday, which is 2 months away (September 6th). Earlier in the week, I happened to be scrolling through my news feed on Facebook and came across a post in one of the many groups I’m in on the 3 day potty training method.
Being the inquisitive person I am, I decided to follow the post and there were so many mamas that swore by this method. One mama was even generous enough to send us a copy of the ebook, it took about 45 mins to read and Lora was definitely convincing in this method. So here I am giving you all my experience on the 3 day potty training method with my 22 month old daughter.

What is the 3 Day Potty Training Method?
The 3 Day Potty Training Method as described by the “potty training queen”, Lora, is a method used to help parents accomplish potty training in THREE DAYS! Yes, you read it right. THREE DAYS! I was pretty reluctant at the idea myself but I must say our results are quite surprising!

As Lora mentioned, it is important to have all your potty training supplies on hand prior to your 3 days. I have linked below some of the supplies we used during our journey, feel free to check them out!

Our Experience:
Day 1: Our first day of potty training went better than expected! We woke up at around 10am, took off her soiled diaper & pjs, and changed into a t-shirt and a pair of Elmo undies (her favorite!) We went out to the play area as usual, she ate breakfast and within a few minutes she had her first accident. ARGH! & I would honestly say it was partial my fault, I should have been in the room with her as Lora insisted. One of the key factors in this method is to ALWAYS be by your child’s side. We cleaned up and went back to playing. As she continued to play, accident #2 happened but we caught it just in time to finish up in the potty. And then something shocking happened {Official proud mama moment!!}. . She started running to the potty herself but was interrupted so she came to me and said, “bath” and sure enough she had to potty! She napped as usual on her couch with a protective pad, my anxiety was through the roof at this point but surprisingly she woke up dry and went to potty shortly after waking up. She drink her milk earlier than usual to avoid any accidents throughout the night & off to bed she went! I think it’s safe to say DAY ONE was a SUCCESS!

Day 2: She woke up dry and went to potty shortly after waking up! I was definitely surprised, I was tossing, turning & constantly checking her undies throughout the night. Overall, she had only 2 accidents & she asked to go potty a few times throughout the day.

Day 3: Once again she woke up dry and went potty in the morning!! WOO-HOO! I’m definitely super excited about that but I honestly feel like we lost focus on day 3. Her cousin came over and she was just focused on playing all day! Today she had 3 accidents in total but did ask to go potty a few times. She definitely got the concept and I think we are off to a great start!

Future Plans:
Soo I feel confident enough to continue allowing her to wear undies in the house, she definitely has a better understanding of her body and doesn’t like the wet feeling. I did buy her some elmo training pants and dry like me pads to go in her undies for when we are on the go. It’s official NO MORE DIAPERS for us! We are sticking to our goal of being fully potty trained by TWO!
